Algeria is a country located in North Africa, bordered by Tunisia to the east, Libya to the northeast, Niger to the south, Mali and Mauritania to the southwest, and Morocco to the northwest. It has a mostly arid climate with hot summers and mild winters. Algeria is known for its diverse geography ranging from mountainous regions to coastal plains. The country is poised for expansion with many small nations around it however it may face challenges with its neighbors such as Tunisia, Libya, Niger, Mali, Mauritania and Morocco.

On the World War III map, Algeria is a country that starts with 6 cities and 70 victory points, making it a relatively large country. In the World War III map, the cities it starts with are (east to west) Constantine, Ouargla, Algiers, Oran, Béchar, and Tindouf. Its immediate neighbors are (counterclockwise) Algeria and Mauritania.

Pros:

  • Thanks to the countries relatively fair amount of cities to provinces you can train a relatively large amount of troops to protect Algeria.
  • Relatively fair positioning with only three countries and three neighboring computer controlled states in reach early-game, this is a minor amount of threats compared to other comparable nations.

Cons:

  • Due to its mountainous terrain it is difficult to move troops internally.
  • Algeria has only two costal cities with both of them having access to the Mediterranean Sea.
