Frigates are medium-sized, multi-purpose combat vessels effective at creating a solid anti-air envelope around friendly surface vessel units. They have radar to detect air, ground, and naval units as well as a ranged anti-air capability with a range of 150. These units are more expensive to produce than the Corvette, but in return they promise stronger weapons, and better equipped technology for mid to late game. As a result of this they are very capable against incoming missiles and aircraft.

  • Strongest naval unit against fixed wing aircraft and cruise missiles.
  • Weak against other naval vessels especially submarines and also helicopters.
